Tourist

Alison and I went to see one of the best movies we've seen in ages (see link below). I think the best thing - for me at least - was finally relating to the stages of baby's growth -- from birth to that wonderful age of toddler-hood... I know what it's like now -- and it's a magical thing to really take part in it all -- to actually be the person who's responsible for their formative years -- to be the one who taught them how to sing their ABC's - to count to ten - to say BLUE JAY!!! -- It's pure magic -- and the movie gives a sense of what it's like - no matter what walk of life you come from - no matter where you live -- raising a child is pretty much the same - filled with joy / challenges / frustration / elation - on and on... I'm so happy I've been Mae's everyday caregiver - her mentor - her safety net - her biggest damn fan in the world... Yeah -- that makes me happy - If I never do another thing - I can say I did (and am still doing) a pretty okay job with Mae...

Have a great weekend!

Listening to: The Perpetual Self, or "What Would Saul Alinsky Do?" - Surfjan Stevens

If you love babies - even if you don't - see this movie!
