mae mae in hat

I feel a lot better today. A LOT better. Now, I can finally get back to my workouts and back into the darkroom to make a few prints.

I love this photo -- surprise. She's my youngest progeny. She's probably the luckiest of all my girls because she gets all my time - all my love - my undivided attention (maybe that's not so lucky :-) )...

She'll be two soon. Two. Damn. Two. Hard to believe. I've been with her every single day of her life - with the exception of the four days I spent with my wonderful sister and her family. Mae is a complete joy to be around each and every day. She learns something new EVERY DAY - and I suppose I do, too.

Honestly, I struggle from time to time with being a stay-at-home dad. There are days when I think I'm missing out on more important things. Days when I think I should be part of some project - playing my part in the rat race. Yes. I struggle. That is - until Mae wakes up from her nap and gives me a little sugar and jabbers on about something. Something new - every - day. That's fine by me...

I love her more than the 100 shooting stars in one night...
