I had a nice day today. I went downtown to have lunch with a friend. I love being in the Loop - there's no place else like it in the world. The city - the country - I love them both. I like having options. Thanks friend for giving me options. I do appreciate it - a lot.

I'm tired. I've been processing film every night for the last 3 weeks. I just ran out of XTOL, so I mixed up some D76 and Perceptol. Now, I just need to get out and shoot more film. I know, I'm addicted. I can't help myself. I'm a little miffed at myself tonight because I let my fixer go right to the edge of exhaustion. I knew I should have used fresh stuff before souping up two rolls of Tri-X in the same tank - that stuff just eats fixer. I ended up with some nasty purple looking negs (I usually do a two-bath fix with Tri-X, I was just a little too lazy tonight), but the negs will print fine in the darkroom. I just need to get a little Dektol and I'll be all set.
