I went out tonight. Probably the first time in - well - a very long, long time. I've been busy with work, and also working on other photography ideas and concepts. I was out for about four hours tonight and loved every minute. I suppose that's another one of my photography rules I should talk about sometime - when in a funk, go out and shoot what you love to shoot best - in my case, I do pretty well in lunar light. I'm always amazed how quickly time flies and how much thinking I get done out there.
I decided to seek out familiar places to shoot first - just to warm up - then I have some other places in mind. I'm hoping to drag my good friend JP out with me - it seems like he's back in the swing of things, too - just check out my Fav Photo link. I may have to run up to the Orbit Ranch this weekend to get my hands in a little D76 and do some printing...
It's just now flipping over to Friday as I write this. This week felt about a month long. I'm glad it's almost over. I realize I have a love/hate relationship with the work I do. I have to keep in mind that I'm pretty lucky to have the job I have - it's frustrating at times - but it's kept me in soy latte's, and Lainey in peanut butter for a long time - I shouldn't complain as much as I do...
I've managed to keep up my workout schedule and feel MUCH better these days. I really noticed the change this evening when I had to hoof it several miles to check out a few new spots. My back held up well and I enjoyed the walk - a lot.
With any luck, it'll warm up a bit over the weekend - I want to get out and ride my bike - and maybe take a few more photos under the moon.
Have a wonderful weekend. (Courtney, if you're reading this - call me! You have a job now - you can take your old dad out for lunch! :-) )
