It's the weekend, and it's almost Thanksgiving time here in the US. I'm looking forward to a little time away from work, and I'll probably take some time away from the virtual world, too. I just received a few great photo books, along with Carl Hiaasen's new book, "Nature Girl". I can't wait to take the time to peruse them all. I'll have some great company over the holidays - and I'm sure she'll drag me out to take lots of photos.

Enjoy the weekend. I think I'll be heading north for at least one night - to see the Orbit Family - once again, I'll be forced to take more photos - will it never end? :-)

Whatever you do this weekend, remember this one simple rule of photography I live by: Always be aware of the light, and the darkness which surrounds it - and if by chance you have a camera with you - capture it!
