Sun Burned

One guess why I'm posting this simple holiday snap... Hey, I can't help myself - I found this red wonder at the top of the cable car ride we took each day from our little place down in the marina to the main pools. What a view - the eastern-most part of the island - at the edge of the rainforest. We would get just a sprinkle of rain at pretty much the same time every day, for maybe 40 minutes - then, the sun would burn it all away. I will say the clouds over the rainforest rarely went away - I think the tour guide told me nearly 1 billion gallons of water fall each year - maybe it was every day - I can't remember. All I can tell you is that it's WET in the forest, but stunningly beautiful. Wish I had photos - but I left my camera at home that morning. I was there to see the birds and life all around me - I wasn't disappointed.

I'll take my film in today for processing - I hope I have a few keepers in there -- if not, we'll have fun just looking at them, okay? Enjoy your weekend! It's good to be back.
