Ivan is making his way through western Cuba. I hope my friends there are all right - both human and animal alike. Some of the rarest birds in the world can be found in the western regions of Cuba. The Bee Hummingbird is the smallest bird in the world (weighing in at a mere 2 grams) - and also a very tenacious little bird.

Here is a photo I took in Havana last January. A wonderful place to visit if you ever get the chance. A place I'll never forget. A place that changed my life, for the better.
